Hello [[INITIATIVE.AUDIENCE MEMBER.FIRST NAME]],
Welcome to our first newsletter of 2026. I hope your year is off to a hopeful and healthy start.
If you attended The Liver Meeting or ASCO 2025, you may already know the newest face behind Blue Faery's programs, our Program Manager, Aura Sanchez. Aura joined our team in May, just three days before ASCO, and she jumped in immediately. At our booth, she met oncologists from across the world and connected with clinicians from South America in Spanish, thanks to her Colombian roots. From the start, we knew we were fortunate to have her.
Aura's enthusiasm, adaptability, and kindness have already made a tremendous impact, especially as we prepare to kick off one of our largest programs of the year, Love Your Liver.
Beginning in February, just in time for Black History Month, we are hosting a special Love Your Liver event featuring Dr. Rebecca Jones, with a focus on liver health and the risk factors that disproportionately affect the African American community. Through our Love Your Liver program, we will continue to promote education, awareness, and prevention, enabling every individual to protect their liver health and live a healthier life.
We are also excited to share that our 2026 HCC Lunch and Learn will take place on April 25, 2026, in Houston, Texas. We will share details about speakers, partners, and registration soon, so stay tuned.
Additionally, we are launching a new round of our The Truth About Liver Cancer workshops this year. These online sessions bring together patients, caregivers, advocates, and clinicians to discuss diagnosis, treatment, equity, and survivorship.
If you are a patient, caregiver, advocate, or healthcare provider interested in participating in The Truth About Liver Cancer, please contact Aura for more information. She would love to hear from you.
As Program Manager, Aura organizes and manages the logistics behind these events. She brings together speakers, ensures our programs run smoothly, and helps build the community we serve. We are deeply grateful for her hard work and her willingness to dive in with both feet.
Here is to Aura, and here is to a year filled with connection, education, and meaningful impact.
Fighting Liver Cancer Together,
Andrea Wilson Woods
